Our vision

This week we received an onslaught of AI announcements. OpenAI and Meta both debuted a new feed while OpenAI took it one step further by announcing their new video model to rival Nano Banana from Google. While these AI feeds might be getting some initial backlash and questions about their purpose, the barrier to creative storytelling through the digital medium is continuing to erode.

Meta’s smart glasses are now available for purchase - the ones with a screen in one eye. While it might take some getting used to this is a sign of what’s to come. The fact that they were able to cram this much technology into a slightly bulky but wearable pair of glasses is a glimpse of what’s to come over the next 5 years. Clearly competitors like Google, Samsung and Apple in addition to the myriad of XR startups all see that the future is not contained within 2D physical screens but is a marriage of the physical and digital realities.

The race for robotics dominance is really heating up with Meta making an open declaration that it will be their latest bet alongside spatial computing and artificial intelligence. These industries are quickly shaping up to be the next revolution in technological acceleration of society. Will they succeed against the likes of Tesla and Figure AI? They definitely have the money and talent to give them a good challenge.
