Our vision
Alterego’s latest announcement seems like more hype than reality, but we are eagerly awaiting a live demonstration where it can be put to the test outside of a promo video. If their product is legitimate and OpenAI’s investigation and findings into AI hallucination prove useful it’s possible we are seeing breakthroughs that will accelerate AI progress. The industry feels like it might be slowing down as the public gets used to these advancements. Let’s see if we can feel surprised and impressed again soon.

Robotics is gaining much more traction in the eyes of the public. It feels like although AI is the hot topic and will remain that way for a while, robotics is on deck for the next hype cycle. Especially when we get to “physical AI” as Jensen calls it, which will usher in the age of combining AI with robotics for the next wave of societal changes driven by technology. These changes have us all balancing on a knife’s edge wondering if we’re slowly trudging towards dystopia or beautiful abundance.

Our vision
This week we were overwhelmed with the amount of articles showcasing the progress in transportation technology. Autonomous cars are pushing into new markets, using new cars and technology while consumers become more accustomed to driver seats being empty. Energy storage breakthroughs will help our electrical grid deal with the influx of electric vehicles while new solid-state batteries could change how we think about our vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

Space

  1. SpaceX buys EchoStar Spectrum to bolster Starlink
The latest move by Elon’s SpaceX solidifies their ability to strengthen Starlink’s offering acquiring licenses to expedite the expansion of their fleet. (Reuters)

Our vision
Just as we mention last week that investing in space technology companies is seeing a huge influx of VC attention, now it seems that SpaceX is looking to increase it’s lead.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential

Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.

Paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.
